The owner of Dollface, Sarah-Jane, is a lovely young beauty therapist who specialises in lash enhancements and microblading. I was invited to have my lashes done, which was such a coincidence because I had been wanting to get them done since December. Sarah-Jane and I sat down for a few moments to get to know one another a bit better. I was able to ask her any necessary questions that I had regarding the process of lash enhancements, while she had a few questions regarding my blog and what its like to be a blogger.
With all my questions answered, Sarah-Jane had put my mind at ease that this was going to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I cannot explain the experience any differently. We started chatting as soon as she started with the process, discussing life lessons, fashion and makeup (of course, as well as learning from one another. I felt very comfortable in her company and I could tell that she felt the same, which made time fly by so quickly! The entire process takes around a hour from the moment you lay your head down to start the process but I promise you that it feels a lot quicker. Each individual synthetic lash is glued (using lashbase) to your natural lash, giving it the illusion of fuller, thicker lashes. The lashes that Sarah-Jane uses is called The Lash Collection.
A Week Later
As I’m creating this post, it has been an exact week since having my lashes done. They look exactly the same as they did when I left Dollface last week Tuesday. I have been extra careful when washing my face, especially when removing my makeup and even when I casually lift up my hand to give my eyes a good rub. I’ve had no real issues with the weight of the lashes (they feel like nothing) or the fallout. I think I’ve only had two tiny lashes fall out since the entire process, which is normal.
I hope this was insightful, and possibly gave you a bit more information in case you were looking to have your lashes done. You can contact Sarah-Jane here.
Until next time,
