I’m blue da ba dee da ba die… Remember that song? Happy Monday! I sure hope it’s not a blue day though!
Did you have a great weekend? Lots of fashionable people were at MBFW this past weekend, as I’m sure you may have seen lots of photos on social media. I joined my friend and fellow blogger, Qaanita, on Friday to watch Lalesso’s show. I quite liked the printed jumpsuits and gorgeous dresses. I’d definitely rock some of those daring outfits this summer. To check out what I wore to MBFW, click here.

On a completely different note, Grace and I decided to shoot something a little bit different to what I’m used to shooting. I’ve had this little blue outfit in mind since I bought these printed slacks from Woolies. I’m not a huge fan of printed pants because I always have this idea that people will just stare at my bum because it’s basically screaming “LOOK AT MEEEE!” Haha! However, here is a little tip or two on how to wear printed pants/slacks:

Tip #1

If you’re wearing a pair of pants that’s made up of a busy print, pair it with a solid colour top and a solid colour pair of shoes. This isn’t always the case, however, because a new trend is to mix up various prints (but this can be horribly messed up if you pair it incorrectly).

Tip #2

Choose a solid colour that you’d like to pair with your printed pants. In this case, I took the darker shade of blue in the pants and decided to wear it as a solid colour on my torso, and a chose the black for my shoes and bag. I’m in need of a new bag by the way. Do you know of any places that has great, affordable handbags?

Are there other ways that you like to pair your prints? Let me know in the comments section and don’t forget to subscribe to be the first to know when my next post will be up!

Absolutely love this look! And the royal blue looks stunning on you.
Apparently, people with bigger hips (such as I) are “not supposed” to wear prints at the bottom, but what I like to do, is pair a tighter fitting pants with a longer cardigan or even a loose fitting jersey, obviously I still look hippy (lol!) but like you said, wearing prints is like a sign on your bottom.
