Unconventional

Ms Paula Bee

Hello loves!
I hope your Monday treated you well, and your Tuesday is even better! Have you noticed how cold it has gotten over the past few days? I’m actually freezing my tatas off! Apparently there’s a cold front hitting Cape Town soon (or we’re in it already. IDK) so make sure you stock up on those blankets, jars of hot chocolate, and flu tablets.

University blues:

I started my second semester yesterday. I’m pretty neutral in the emotions department concerning the second semester because I just want to get this year of studies over and done with. I’m excited to start my practical work next year, but simultaneously, I’m feeling really anxious. Like, what if I mess up? Hmm, I guess its normal to have these thoughts about the future and working in the big world whilst wearing my big girl shoes. To be honest, one of the main things I’m keen on is the fact that I have to wear formal clothing everyday! Its been forever and a day since I’ve worn suits and pencil skirts, so I’m excited to get back into that! There’s something sexy about a woman in a suit, don’t you think?

About this look:

This jacket is the reason for the title of this post. The minute I fitted it on, I felt quirky. No one likes having the same clothing as those around you, which is why I think it’s so unconventional. I love the waterfall effect in the front of the jacket, as well as the fabric. It’s perfect for dressing up or for a casual look, as I’ve illustrated in these images (I’m all about that casual life).

Would you rock this jacket?

Are you starting university soon too? Or heading back to work? I become so jelly when I’ve just gone back to university, and then people around me are posting about “Going on a road trip with my babe”. Meh! I want to go away too!

  1. Hey P…the coat yes I would definitely play with it, and seems like it can be doubled up between seasons. how does it look buttoned up with the “draping” effect.

    1. It definitely can be worn in all seasons! The fabric is amaze. To be totally honest with you, I didn’t button it up darl. There’s just something about me and buttoned up jackets that just don’t go well.

  2. I absolutely love this look! I would ROCK this jacket, for sure!
I’m starting the third (and last) leg of my Credit Management short course next week. Waking up early on Saturday? During this freezing cold Winter days? Not looking forward at all but I’m so happy that it’s my last. My bestie has been travelling around Europe for the past two weeks and I was so jelly when she was in Spain, she says it was sweltering heat. I need that! You should definitely take a trip before you start your pratical work. Definitely!

    1. The jacket is all sorts of amazing!
I’m happy for you – good luck with the last part of Credit Management 🙂 It’ll be over pretty soon, but I know the pain you feel. I can’t stand the cold weather, especially in the morning. I’ll definitely go on a trip. Thailand is the place for me!!
