Jade and I attended the Sunglass Hut event together last week Tuesday. We had no idea where we were off to as we supposed to rely on the shuttle, but thanks to the ridiculous traffic, we were too late to catch it and had to rely on the nifty GPS system to take us up into the luxurious Clifton roads along the coast.

We walked into the Pentagon Villa, welcomed by waiters who served us drinks and smiles. When I arrived into the suite, I was taken aback by the beautiful view showcasing Clifton beach as well as the stunning blue hues of the ocean. Sounds so fancy right? It was! The space was filled with a long table surrounded by colourful chairs with goodie bags for each one of us.

Before we had lunch, the product buyer of Sunglass Hut gave us a short presentation on the new trends for this season – let me just tell you, you’re going to be so impressed with the new range of goodies in store. From edgy frames and studs, to the good ol’ aviator style with a twist. I’m pretty sure there’s a style for everyone. I fell in love with a pair of Miu Miu’s that were on display opposite my seat, and I was blessed enough to find the exact pair in my goodie bag – except mine are grey! So versatile.

Lunch

After the presentation, we were served a yummy lunch along with a strawberry sorbet for dessert. Also, might I add that Ice cream Ninja was there to work their magic. I decided to be brave by having chocolate ice cream, peppermint ice cream, an oreo and some astros. It was magical! Like fairies moon walking on my tongue (good ol’ Netbank ad reference there). Do check out the new range of sunnies in store – They’re gorgeous. Jade and I tried on a few pairs of sunnies after our lunch and really couldn’t decide on which ones to settle for. Jade took a stunning pair of round Prada’s and I settled for my Miu Miu’s, of course.

After taking lots of photos and mingling with others in the industry, we left Clifton and headed home. Thank you Sunglass Hut for a fun event!
