I attended the launch of the new Moroccan Oil Smooth Range in the beginning of July, along with my friend and fellow blogger, Qaanita. We were treated to a demonstration of the products to create various hairstyles; how to use the product; as well as gifted a goodie bag with the #MOSmooth range to review.

Obviously you can’t review something after one try, which is why I’m only posting about it now. I wanted to try it out for at least a month so I can give you my honest opinion.

My thoughts:

• Moroccan Oil Smoothing Shampoo & Moroccanoil Smoothing Conditioner: This duo really makes your hair feel and smell so amazing and cleansed from the inside out. The duo has an AminoRenew™ ingredient that infuses the hair with vital amino acids. When used together, my hair has a smoother and manageable appearance for up to 72 hours, which is amazing especially if you have thick hair like I do. The con to this duo is that it can become too intense for my hair, causing the scalp to become oily very quickly. Also, some people do not really like the scent of these products because it’s quite potent and leaves a long-lasting impression on the hair. The Moroccanoil Smoothing Shampoo is selling for R350.00 and Moroccanoil Smoothing Conditioner is R 370.00.

• Moroccan Oil Smoothing Mask: You have NO idea how addicted I am to this mask. I use a generous amount on my hair once every week and if not once a week, I’ll use it once every two weeks. It is deeply nourishing and conditioning, giving a long-lasting improvement in the hair’s texture, styling manageability, and shine. It is made up of argan butter, argan oil and coconut derived fatty acids specifically formulated for unruly and frizzy hair (like mine!). It has the viscosity and creaminess of a rich butter, yet feels weightless on my hair especially considering the fact that I love weightless, bouncy curls. It has the same signature scent as the rest of the collection that I simply love! It goes for R570.00 at retail selling price.
