Moonflower

As you may have noticed, Forever New and I have been working on something really cool. I had a lovely interview last night with them on Twitter, where we let followers know a little bit more about me and how the blog started, as well as some of my personal fashion and blogging tips.

I was so excited when Forever New asked me create a look that would either be a fun daytime look or an evening look. Since I never do these kinds of looks on the blog, I decided to create a beautiful look that’s perfect for an evening occasion. I chose this dress from their new Moonflower collection, called the Lydia V-Neck Hi-Lo Prom Dress. It honestly knocked me off my feet!

The Moonflower collection is made up of light pastels in watercolour florals, while the metallics and sateens are created in tones of apricot peach, rose gold and sky blue. I’d say with all these soft, breezy fabrics and structured dresses, there will always be a sense of romanticism to the spring event. Have a look at the collection and see for yourself – I’m actually becoming obsessed because there are so many things that I plan on getting!

Lorenzo and I decided to shoot at the Hyde Hotel in Seapoint. I felt that the location was perfect – what better place to shoot a fancy dress than at a fancy hotel? The day was sunny, but to our surprise when we arrived at the hotel, the sun had faded and all we had was mist to work with. Nevertheless, we made due with the weather and I love the photos! Lorenzo did so well!
