Grey Area.
Have you ever felt like you’re caught in a bit of a grey area? I was recently, and felt like I should share a bit of it on here.
As many of you know, I graduated in April of this year and it was such a huge achievement for me. I studied for five years in total, but I won’t be getting into that topic in this post because I’ll be creating an entire post for my graduation soon (*2 months later*).
On My Mind.
As you may or may not know, I have a honours degree in Psychology. I completed my degree last year and was blessed to graduate in April of this year. I truly enjoy what I studied and will be pursuing it in the near future, but I’m caught in a tiny bit of a predicament. A grey area, if you will. Psychology is such a confidential field as everything is very personal and kept between the client and psychologist. On the opposite end, blogging/YouTubing is a very open field where you’re expected to be extroverted, and if you’re not people frown at the fact that you’re not loud and super confident. They expect you to have it all together and share your entire life on the internet. However, this is not me. I’m most definitely not extroverted even though I do enjoy chatting and being silly here and there.
I am trying to find this fine line between the two fields, but I’m slowly coming to realise that life has no clear black and white. There are no proper rules or manuals on how to go about this, so I’m winging it. For the past few months I have become a full-time blogger and YouTuber, and I’m absolutely loving it. I know that this is not where I’ll be staying for the rest of my life and that’s okay. I know that I’ll go back into Psychology soon enough but we’ll see how I end up balancing the two contrasting fields.
Although I am going through a bit of a grey time, I know that God has my best interest at heart and this is all part of His plan. Its amazing how we can feel so lost at times, but God is just looking at us like “Don’t you worry my girl, I’ve got you!” That to me is the most incredible thing – having a father who loves me so much and wants nothing but the best for me. He’s a good, good father β₯οΈ
About the Outfit
The main focus of this outfit is my brand new grey sock-boots from Spree. I am absolutely obsessed with this gorgeous grey boot, and felt like it definitely needed to be shared with all of you on the blog. They’re really comfortable because of the block heel (which is trending at the moment too), so its great for those of you who want to be stylish but comfortable at the same time. I will advise you not to wear them on raining days in the Mother City though because they’re suede and will definitely get a bit dirty.
Until next time,

Love it allll
I graduated last year from Stellenbosch University and this year I am looking to pursue my other interests(dance and singing), unfortunately that won’t happen cause I’m doing a year internship so therefore that’ll only happen next year. But this post made understand and realise and ALSO remember that everything will happen according to God’s will and plans for you. He knows best! β€πͺπΈππ
I always enjoy your posts! I suppose I can totally relate as I seem to be going through my own little “grey area” at the moment. I manage a guesthouse which I absolutely love doing but also have a passion for my own business in the travel industry which I started four years ago. It gets tricky at times keeping the two separated and also focused on growing both my interests…but as always I am sure God knows HIS perfect plan for my life all too well, so I will trust and keep the faith that I will be gestured in the right direction, whatever that may be. For now, I continue to do what i love on a daily basis! All the best sweet Paula!
This post really spoke to me, thank you for sharing β€οΈ
