Winter Haze

Paula Jacobs

Hi there!

I hope you’re doing well. Yes? Great!

Cape Town weather hasn’t exactly been consistent lately (I guess that’s why a lot of people refer to this city as a woman going through PMS) so I’ve decided to put together a few looks that you could possibly wear during these awkward “sunny yet freezing” days, and still look cute!

The first of these looks has this amazing oversized cable knit. I am honestly obsessing over it and the colour is totally up my alley. I’ve always been a beige, tan, and brown kind of girl when it comes to my winter pallet, as I’m sure you may have noticed from my Instagram. The cable knit is perfect for all sizes because it hides all lumps and bumps that you may be a bit insecure about (in this case, it hides my thunder thighs), especially considering we all tend to pick up a few kilos in winter #winterflab. I paired the knit with a cute hat in a shade darker, and my River Island booties.

Speaking of winter – what exactly do people get up to in winter? Obviously besides cuddling, going out for supper, and watching movies. I mean, I’m on holiday right now for the following month and a half and I don’t exactly want to keep doing the same thing everyday. I want to be active (which I have been, but what other things do people get up to in CPT during the chilly season?) and enjoy the holidays, but I feel like its tough because either my hair is going to mince or  I’m just far too cold to even move.

How gorgeous are these photos? I have Miss Lisa G to thank for that. We went location hunting on Friday morning (as you may have seen on my Snapchat – follow me at MsPaulaBee!) and ended up shooting in a beautiful field filled with fog. I love the way the photos came out!  We’ll be shooting more in future so let us know what you think!
