Spanish Daydreaming

For the past three weeks, I have been swamped with assignments and tests. Between these three weeks, I had a week of holiday, but it seemed like a speck of dust amongst the work I had to do. I don’t like it when universities do that – Hand over a week of holiday, but give a sly little laugh as they do it simply because they know there is no such thing as a ‘holiday’ for a 3rd year Psychology student. Sigh. Do forgive me as I haven’t been posting as often as I usually do. I am kind of in one of those spaces where I feel a tad disoriented in this world, so bear with me if I start babbling.

About the Outfit

So this was a cute little outfit I wore to campus, excluding the heels. I mean I love fashion, but I am pretty realistic about how practical one has to be when walking around campus. Although now that I think about it, there are beautiful girls who wear heels at campus. I take my hat off to you, as I know for a fact that I wouldn’t survive. I love my flats far too much. My high-waisted mom jeans are the definition of comfort. If you are looking for a great pair of jeans that will spice up any outfit, I say opt for a pair similar to these high-waisted babies from TopShop. To add to the look, I paired the jeans with this floral crop-top. One of my good friends, Anneke, made the funniest remark when she saw this outfit, mentioning that I look like a little “senorita” (Hence the post title). From then on, I felt like I should be dancing in a foreign Spanish film, in a sexy red number alongside Salma Hayek. Wow, Salma Hayek. She’s a beauty, an absolute hottie. I recently watched the Mnet 8pm comedy, where she played the role of the super gorgeous mom alongside Adam Sandler and a few other well-known actors. I always enjoy a good comedy movie, although I will be honest with you – I don’t like watching movies. I would much rather play Playstation 3 or catch up on my favourite local blogs. You know? Do something more constructive with my time.

I am enjoying the weather this week. I mentioned in my previous post that the weather was looking mighty fine for this week. Yay!

Have a beautiful weekend dear readers,

  1. I would like to take credit for the ‘Seniorita’ comment and therefore the inspiration of the title ;).
Nice to know my friend listens to my somewhat nonsensical nonsense.

P.S. Love the whole outfit: Jeans, top, wedges and of course those signature waves.
