I’ve always enjoyed the feeling of dressing up, creating a full face of glam, and taking photos to make me feel like a princess. That’s exactly what this shoot was about. A few weeks ago, Canal Walk and Century City Hotel hosted their very first “Bloggers Day Out” event where we were spoilt out of our socks. I thought that I would return to the hotel once more to shoot a few new looks that would compliment the feel of the hotel, as well as the way I felt on that day – like a princess.

About the Outfit

I decided to go for a bold skirt that was prefect for feeling like royalty. I believe that this beautiful skirt is made up of two layers of tulle and approximately 6 meters of duchess satin to give it that “oomph” that you see. It reminded me of a scene in the Princess Diaries when Mia is presented as a princess for the first time. Gosh, I used to love those movies as a kid. My friends and I would have sleep overs and watch Princess Diaries, creating our own narrative as we’d go along. We’d imagine what it would be like to discover that you have royalty in your genes and possibly be the next princess or queen in line. Haha! Did you perhaps do that as a young girl too?
I contrasted the skirt with a slouchy pink tee that was just too perfect for this look. It’s the same pink tee I’ve posted on my Instagram recently, but I decided to pull it over my shoulders and added some jewelry to give a classy feel. I think I pulled off the look 🙂

I am quite excited to show you the next look too. It has a princess connotation to it as well because, like I mentioned before, I truly felt like royalty.

Until next time,
