Light Spring

Can you believe that there are only 71 days until Christmas? It’s insane. Mum and I were in Zara the other day, and she’s like “You should look at dresses for your Christmas outfit…”. That really shocked me. It was March like, yesterday. Oh, and then on Saturday, Lorenzo and I noticed staff putting up Christmas decor at the V&A Waterfront! This year has truly flown by, and God has blessed me tremendously! #thankful

About the Outfit

Moving onto a completely different topic: I put together this outfit as another way to show you ladies that just because its spring, it doesn’t mean that you just have to wear flowers or floral prints in every piece of clothing. Too often I see women wearing a crazy amount of floral print in one outfit. Like for example, it will be a floral printed tee with floral printed slacks and a matching blazer. #overkill. I guess you could do that, but only if you pull it off properly, which is quite challenging.

I decided to pair this floral top that I’ve had for a good amount of years with my all-time favourite pair of jeans. I love that this top is light, not just in colour but also in the fabric. Spring fashion is all about loose-fitting clothing with pretty light hues to make sure that you’re comfortable under the new heat, yet stylish! Haha, well that’s at least what I think. About le white high-waisted skinny. I’ve wanted a white high-waisted skinny for the longest time, but never found one that suited my body – because I have quite a big bum and a small waist, the jeans does this ridiculous ‘gaping’ business around my waist (BTW, I know that the jeans doesn’t look high-waisted in the post, but I have posted pics of it on my Instagram). I want to get the darker pair of Joni jeans from TopShop too, but eish, ain’t no body got time for R600 odd jeans that will stretch because your ass is so big (talking about myself here).

Working Out

Which reminds me: If you ladies (or gents) have any suggestions on how to burn fat super quickly, please leave comments below so I can check that out. I am going to be on a three-month holiday pretty soon (early November) and I need to get my body in shape for summer! Because I’m delayed like that. Thanks!

Until next time,

  1. Once again, a brilliant post. On the topic of weight-loss/slimming down, I can advise you that quick fixes don’t work. Eat lean and train mean… if you can.

Alternatively, green tea is one of those time old traditions that just work. The authentic kind bought at any Chinese shop is the one you’d want.

I however think you look fab but do what you need to do to feel your absolute best and I look forward to hearing what you decided to go with and how it worked for you.

  2. Love them jeans!!! haaaat!!!

About the quick way to burn fat; Firstly, there is no quick fix 🙁 Hard work and healthy eating. Secondly, YOU DO NOT NEED IT!!! You are perfect just the way you are!!! 🙂
