Fit & Flare

To be honest, I was not a huge fan of these fit and flare mini skirts when I first saw it on the hanger. Because I have thick legs and quite a big bum, I felt as though I would look like an absolute fool in this kind of skirt style. Once worn with a cute crop top and a killer pair of heels, I realised that I felt so comfortable.

About the skirt:

By now, I’m pretty sure that you know that I love a great midi-length skirt or dress (from previous posts), but these mini skirts kind of freak me out because I’m never too sure how my body will look in it. I’m not a huge fan of my legs because they’re not as toned as I’d like them to be, but I’m so lazy when it comes to exercising so I can’t even talk myself out of this self-inflicted hole. Ha! I just need a gym buddy that will be dedicated to our working out sessions. In other words, I need a personal trainer. Do any of you know a really great personal trainer that wants to help a sister out?

About the hair:

I love this look because it’s simple yet cute. It’s not “over the top” considering colours and styles, and I absolutely love that my long hair adds to that “cute” factor. There’s just something about long hair that makes a girl feel sassy, so pair it with a mini skirt and heels and you’re set! One of my biggest regrets in life was cutting my hair in the 11th grade in 2010, and never being able to reach that length again. I genuinely become emotional just thinking about it, so these extensions have been quite a game-changer for me. I feel as though that “hole” that the regret left in my heart, has now been filled (dramatic, I know, but I was very attached to my hair).

Would you wear these fit and flare mini skirts?
