Birthday

It feels good to be working on a new blog post after my birthday weekend, seeing that was my last post release. I had such a nice 21st birthday celebration – I wasn’t really that busy but the entire day was chilled. I had mentioned in my birthday post (Khaki) that I didn’t have plans, but I ended up having an intimate supper at my place for my close friends and family. I was blessed with a new MacBook, which I have been talking about in a few posts for quite some time now. Haha, my dad seems to think that I was hinting (cough, cough). For those that celebrated the day with me, sent me messages or called, and wished me on various social media – Thank you so much. I appreciate it!

This shoot was taken at the Wembley Towers in town, where Lorenzo and I were supposed to pay R1 500 just to stand in this space and take like 10 shots for about 2 minutes. How ridiculous? Anyways, that never happened.

About the Outfit

This jumpsuit is so versatile! I’ve mentioned in my feature with Style GF that you should never be afraid to wear denim on denim. I mean, I took this gorgeous denim jumpsuit and paired it with neutral colours and a pop of pink, to sort of “break” the monotony of too much denim. Let’s take a denim jeans and a denim shirt for example. That’s a perfect combination when paired with the correct colours and accessories. In my opinion, I love pairing denim with neutral colours (mostly because beige is one of my favourite colours) because it’s so pretty and not too harsh.

Oh, by the way, what do you think of my hairstyle in this post? I haven’t worn my hair like this in a very long time, and suddenly I just decided to go halfsies with it and clip up some hair. I quite fancy it ey. If my hair were straight in this post and in this half “up style”, I’d look like Paula Abdul in the 90s with a good ol’ “waterfall” look. Luckily, that isn’t the case here and I can still keep my dignity. Haha.
