Bo & Luca: Bridal Wear for the Daring Romantic

Bo & Luca

Warning: You may fall in love.
We were invited to preview Bo & Luca‘s new range at their stunning all-white studio in the city centre. I had no idea what to expect as I have never seen their previous pieces before, but when I walked into the studio, I was absolutely blown away. The studio has white washed walls with high ceilings, draped in bohemian wreaths and faint lights twinkling in the background. Sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?

Welcoming

I was welcomed by a refreshment and a warm smile from Stefani from Press Room, who then introduced me to the creative director of Bo & Luca, Shannon Pittman. Shannon has travelled the world to find an answer to the question that always popped up: who dresses the daring romantic? For carefree women with an effortless and captivating style – who gets to create the bridal wear that can reflect their unique personalities? A love affair in her 20s with the Middle East, created a world of tailoring and immaculate beadwork from which her answer was born – Bo & Luca.

“The gravity of a wedding day goes without saying. For an occasion with such incredible significance, it couldn’t be more important to be true to yourself and trust your sense of style. The dress – the perfect dress, should be an extension of your true essence,” says Shannon.

Bohemian Chic

To me, Bo & Luca is the epitome of bohemian chic that every bride, who has a carefree spirit, should dive right into and splurge with creativity. The ivory coloured pieces are so unique because each one is made with handcrafted beadwork to suit your personal taste, so it becomes your own idea and vision created into an artwork of a dress. The garments are created with a mixture of flowing silk crepes and georgettes, layers of soft tulle, hand cut petals and delicately hand embroidered embellishments of beads, pearls and crystals.
