Adidas | Supernova Glide Boost Launch

Adidas

I honestly can’t believe that I haven’t blogged in just over one month. Haha, I must admit that it really feels great to be back at this and blogging again. I ended my exams on the 12th of November, and since then I have been chilling and attending events. I also painted my bedroom (which is something I’ve been wanting to do for the longest time, so I finally got around to doing that!) a pretty cream-ish colour. I hate explaining colours to people because I can never explain the exact hue. I’d say something like “champagney-beigey-browny-white colour” – seriously? Haha!

Supernova Glide Boost

This past Saturday, Lorenzo and I attended the launch of the new Supernova Glide Boost running sneaker. I’ve never really heard of the sneaker or the previous versions, but when I saw it on display at the launch, I knew that I wanted it. Let me tell you a little bit about the day:

We arrived at the Alphen Boutique Hotel around 9:15am and were welcomed by three ladies who gifted me with the full Adidas running apparel and the Supernova glides. I was told that we would be going for a 3km run around Constantia and needed to change into my gear. “What??” We weren’t told about the prospective run, so obviously I came to the event all dolled up in my white outfit. I was so surprised by their running proposal, but took up the challenge with a smile! Before we went on our run, one of the organisers of the event gave us a detailed presentation of the Glides and the different materials which make up each layer of the shoe. He mentioned how the shoe provides a smoother silhouette that’s more flattering to the female foot, which obviously captured all of our hearts. A shoe made specifically for us! After our run, we came back to a scrumptious breakfast – Eggs Benedict with bacon/or salmon; granola with summer berries; quiche, and any drinks upon request. It was so divine that I ended up having two eggs benedict! #vraat

About

Aesthetically, the colours are so captivating. It is made up of three colours – black, white and coral. The black adaptive upper area provides a unique fit for all foot shapes. The men’s version of the shoe has a Stretch Mesh, whereas the women’s version is made of Techfit. The outsole is made of Continental rubber to ensures the ultimate grip whilst running! How awesome is that? #FlashFact. Oh, and might I add that the Boost has foam cushions which provides us with thousands of durable energy capsules to maintain the soft cushioning. Sounds like a great deal to me.

Overall, I am simply loving my glides. They’re so comfy and hug the foot with each step. Thank you Adidas for my new “kicks”!
